Brewing news Singapore: Asia Pacific Breweries, F&N say lawsuit filed by Heineken dismissed

The lawsuit filed by Dutch group Heineken NV against Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd and its parent Fraser & Neave Ltd at the Singapore High Court has been 'dismissed with costs,' Asia Pacific Breweries and F&N said in a disclosure to the Singapore Exchange, AFX News communicated on .

No further details were provided.

Heineken had earlier filed a summons against the two Singapore-listed firms to block their appointment of a regional director for Heineken Asia Pacific Breweries (China), a joint operation between Heineken and Asia Pacific Breweries.

The Business Times reported that Heineken went to court after F&N went ahead and appointed its chief operating officer Huang Hong Peng as regional director for China.

Asia Pacific Breweries is jointly majority owned by F&N and Heineken through Asia Pacific Investment Pte Ltd (APIPL).
